Overview

This browser extension enhances the Ring.com live-view dashboard with continuous viewing, automatic reconnection, Picture-in-Picture, and local video recording. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Ring LLC or Amazon. Ring is a trademark of its respective owner.

Information We Collect

None. This extension does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information to the developer or to any third party. There are no servers, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind.

Sign-in Status Check

To activate, the extension performs a local check of whether your browser profile is signed in to a Google account, using the browser's built-in identity API (the identity.email permission). This check happens entirely inside your browser. The result is used only as an on/off switch for the extension's features. Your email address is not stored by the developer, not transmitted anywhere, and not used for any other purpose.

What We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect, view, store, or transmit your camera video or audio. Recordings are created locally in your browser and saved directly to your own computer's Downloads folder.
• We do not collect your Ring account credentials. You sign in to Ring.com directly on Ring's own website.
• We do not collect browsing history, location data, or any content from other websites. The extension only runs on account.ring.com.
• We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking of any kind.

Where Data Is Stored

All extension settings (such as your chosen color theme and camera status used by the popup) are stored locally in your browser's extension storage on your own device. Nothing is stored on any server.

Permissions Explained

• identity / identity.email: used only to check locally whether the browser profile is signed in to a Google account, which activates the extension. No data leaves your browser.
• downloads: to save your camera recordings to your own Downloads folder.
• storage: to remember your settings locally.
• tabs: to open or focus the Ring dashboard tab when you use the extension controls.
• alarms / offscreen: to keep continuous live view running reliably.
• Host access to account.ring.com: the extension's features only operate on the Ring dashboard.

Data Deletion

Uninstalling the extension removes all locally stored settings. Since the developer stores no user data, there is nothing further to delete.

Any changes to this policy will be posted on this page with an updated date.
