Overview

This browser extension enhances the Ring.com live-view dashboard with continuous viewing, automatic reconnection, Picture-in-Picture, and local video recording. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Ring LLC or Amazon. Ring is a trademark of its respective owner.

Ring Subscription Requirement

This is an independent tool that works on top of your own Ring account on Ring.com. Some of what you see on the Ring dashboard is controlled by Ring, not by us:

• Continuous live view works without a Ring subscription. Ring ends each Live View session on its own; the extension starts it again automatically, so your camera keeps streaming.
• Recording works without any Ring subscription. We record the live picture in your own browser and save it to your own computer, so Ring is not involved.
• Picture-in-Picture works without a Ring subscription.
• Watching more than one camera at the same time on Ring.com requires a Ring subscription. That is Ring's own Multi-Cam Live View feature; our extension cannot and does not unlock it.
• Signing in stays with you. When your Ring.com sign-in expires, Ring asks you to sign in again, and live view stops until you do. That is the one interruption we cannot prevent.

Information We Collect

Only what is needed to run your licence:

• Your email address, which you type into the extension to start a free trial or to activate a purchase.
• Your activation code, which we generate and send to that address.
• Your licence dates and plan (when the trial started, when the licence expires, and which plan was bought), plus the name your payment provider gives us with a purchase.

This is used only to check whether your licence is valid and to email you your code and licence notices. We do not sell it, share it for advertising, or use it for tracking. Payments are handled by PayPal; we never see or store your card details. Email is delivered through Resend.

What We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect, view, store, or transmit your camera video or audio. Recordings are created locally in your browser and saved directly to your own computer's Downloads folder.
• We do not collect your Ring account credentials. You sign in to Ring.com directly on Ring's own website.
• We do not collect browsing history, location data, or any content from other websites. The extension only runs on account.ring.com.
• We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking of any kind.

Where Data Is Stored

Your settings (such as your chosen colour theme and the camera status shown in the popup) are stored locally in your browser's extension storage on your own device, and are never sent anywhere.

Your license (the email address and activation code you enter) is kept in three places, and we want to be plain about all three. It is stored on your device so the extension works offline. A copy is saved to your Chrome profile using Chrome's sync storage, so your license returns automatically if you reinstall the extension or sign in to Chrome on another computer; that copy is handled by Chrome, not by us, and it only exists if you have Chrome sync switched on. Finally, we hold a license record on our own server, which is what lets us confirm the license is valid.

Nothing else reaches any server. Your video is never stored anywhere but your own computer.

Permissions Explained

• downloads: to save your camera recordings to your own Downloads folder.
• storage: to remember your settings on this device, and to keep a copy of your license in your Chrome profile so that reinstalling the extension does not make you type it in again.
• tabs: to open or focus the Ring dashboard tab when you use the extension controls.
• alarms / offscreen: to keep continuous live view running reliably.
• Host access to account.ring.com: the extension's features only operate on the Ring dashboard.

Data Deletion

Uninstalling the extension removes everything stored on the device, but it does not remove the license copy held in your Chrome profile. To erase both at once, click Remove license inside the extension before you uninstall. To have your license record (email, activation code and license dates) deleted from our server as well, email Info@pixillab.com from that address and we will remove it.

Changes

Any changes to this policy will be posted on this page with an updated date.
